A Closer Look at How We are Lifting America’s Spirit

Heaven Hill Distillery is the largest family-owned and operated Bourbon distillery in America, and we are proud of the spirits we craft here in Kentucky. But more than that, we’re proud to be part of a community — and a nation — that supports one another in times of trouble.

Across our whiskey portfolio, we have launched a series of fundraising initiatives to support our friends and neighbors in the hospitality industry, as well as veterans and essential workers. Among these causes is Another Round, Another Rally: a financial resource for bar and restaurant workers who are providing emergency relief grants and other forms of financial aid.

We are proud to support Another Round, Another Rally as part of Heaven Hill Distillery’s Lifting Our Spirits series on social media. We have been connecting with the American Whiskey community through activities like mixing cocktails and playing Bourbon trivia to help raise money and show some love to our hospitality professionals in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please head to their site to learn more and donate if you are able.

Earlier this spring, as the pandemic’s devastating economic impact became increasingly clear, our parent company also took immediate action: making a financial commitment of $400,000 to organizations serving communities where our employees live and work. These funds will benefit:

  • One Louisville – Louisville, KY
  • Tri-County United Way – Bardstown, KY
  • Stand with Austin – Austin, TX
  • United Way of Lethbridge & South Western Alberta – Lethbridge, Canada
  • Community Foundation of Ireland – Dublin, Ireland

Several of our whiskey brands are also stepping up and making their own contributions to worthy causes. Evan Williams Bourbon, the largest American-made and owned Bourbon in the country, has made COVID-19 relief for veterans a top priority. Their newly established American-Made Heroes Foundation Fund will award up to $75,000 in emergency grants to nonprofit organizations serving veterans impacted by COVID-19; while the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in Downtown Louisville has been repurposed for hand sanitizer production.

Elijah Craig Bourbon is also committed to supporting hospitality workers and is encouraging Bourbon fans to do the same. With help from brand ambassador Jack Choate, they’ve kicked things off with a $10,000 donation to the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation; and will match consumer donations dollar-for-dollar up to another $15,000. You can learn more and contribute to the Elijah Craig COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Relief Fund here.

While we can’t come together right now in our favorite bars, restaurants, and neighborhood institutions, it remains our responsibility to lift America’s spirit: to find new ways to connect, pool our resources, and make a difference. We look forward to the day when we can reopen our Bourbon Heritage Center and take you on a guided tour and tasting of our American Whiskeys. Until then, we hope you will consider making a donation to one of these meaningful causes.

Cheers to you; stay safe & be well.
