A Reddit AMA & Rickhouse Tour with Bernie Lubbers

As Whiskey Brand Ambassador for Heaven Hill Distillery, Bernie Lubbers travels more than 150,000 miles a year to teach the world about American whiskey. Earlier this month, he took advantage of a few days at home in the Louisville area to participate in a pair of behind-the-scenes conversations with whiskey enthusiasts.

On March 12, Bernie hosted a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) with the devoted community of /r/Bourbon. The question-and-answer session spanned more than two hours using Reddit’s interactive interview format, touching on topics ranging from Bottled-in-Bond history to what it’s like to have one of whiskey fandom’s most enviable occupations. You can see all the questions, responses, and user comments here:

The next day, Bernie was joined by rickhouse construction expert and Bourbon country luminary, Donald Blincoe. The two toured Cox’s Creek Barrel Preserve to discuss how our rickhouses are made, and how each unique feature contributes to the whiskey aging process. Don’t miss out on this enlightening conversation between two of the industry’s foremost authorities. Check out the tour here:
