Whether you’re traveling to Kentucky or just looking for a local day trip, Heaven Hill Distillery has two stops on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®, each with passionate experts eager to show you around and expand your whiskey knowledge.
Bardstown
Our Bourbon Heritage Center lets you explore the history and heritage of American Whiskey through our famous Mashbill Tour and our beloved Whiskey Connoisseur Experience.
Our Mashbill Tour host will lead you to Rickhouse Y and share the secrets of how we age and produce some of the world’s finest Bourbons. Not only will you learn the history of Bourbon, you’ll also hear the origin story of Heaven Hill Distillery, which has been family owned and operated since 1935. And, after working up a thirst, you’ll get to enjoy your very own tasting of three of our nationally acclaimed American whiskeys, each from a different mashbill in the world’s largest Bourbon barrel.
On the Bourbon Heritage Center’s 40-minute Whiskey Connoisseur Experience, you’ll walk through the history of Heaven Hill Distillery. Then, with your newfound knowledge, you’ll participate in a tasting and discussion of the unique characteristics of four of our premium or limited release American whiskeys, focusing on the color, aroma, taste and finish. When your glass is empty, you can take it home as a keepsake, and a reminder of what good taste is all about.

Head to the city’s historic Whiskey Row and discover the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience. With guided tours through the artisanal distillery and educational Bourbon tastings, you’ll find it’s a great place to celebrate the legacy of Evan Williams and more.

(October 14, 2025) – Heaven Hill Distillery announced today the inaugural release of the Heaven Hill Grain to Glass® Specialty Barrel Series, an extension of its acclaimed Grain to Glass line. This new series builds on the tradition of quality, sustainability, and craft that has defined the family-owned distillery since 1935, while showcasing the artistry of barrel selection and maturation.
Elijah Craig expands its acclaimed barrel proof and rye lineup with a new expression, released three times annually and debuting with a 12-year, 3-month-aged first batch.
